We’ve used tons of platforms out there… each has its pros and cons… but we still use DropFunnels today for a few key reasons.

What is DropFunnels?
Based on their own words, DropFunnels is the #1 platform to sell and deliver your expertise online.
In a nutshell, DropFunnels is a high-end software that builds funnels, websites, blogs, membership sites, sales pipelines, and so much more.
DropFunnels was founded by Jordan Mederich (Jordo) in early 2020… right before the start of the pandemic. (ouch)Â
The good news is DropFunnels not only survived… but thrived… and is still kicking butt today.
The platform is great for being the primary foundation for your online business.
It’s not an all-in-one platform… and rightfully so… as other software services do their specific thing better than anyone else. (like Active Campaign for example)
DropFunnels is a mix of internal features and external integrations… either directly integrated, or connected through Zapier.
Who Is DropFunnels For?
The cliche is that it can work for any business… which is true… but it does lean heavily towards service-based businesses, coaches, consultants, and digital product creators.
It works for ecom too… but anything over 20 skus would probably work better with a Shopify or WooCommerce setup… for now.
(For transparency… my wife and I ran our CBD business with no problem through DropFunnels, with about 10 skus)
The perfect client for DropFunnels is one that sells and delivers digital courses.
That’s because one of the most powerful parts of DropFunnels is its membership functionality. You’ll learn more about that shortly.
Where DropFunnels doesn’t make sense is if your business requires a lot of moving parts, or requires a bunch of customization… stuff that typically requires a lot of custom coding.

Blogs are a great way to provide high-quality organic traffic to your website… when done right.
DropFunnels allows for unlimited blog posts.
A unique feature is the dynamic blog theme. Most blogs have sidebars.Â
If you have a bunch of blog posts, and you want to change what’s on the sidebar, the old way is to update each and every blog post… which could take forever.
The dynamic theme is a template.Â

This is one of the most powerful features of DropFunnels.
You can create unlimited courses, sub-courses, modules, and lessons. You can drip content, and engage with your students with gamification features.
Every part of the membership section… the dashboard, login, blocked access, lessons, and first-time welcome pages… can be built with pixel-perfect design.
When users complete their purchase, they get instant access to their members' area with no tech required. No webhooks, no Zaps… nada.
EMAIL & SMS SALES PIPELINES
Many businesses use a CRM to handle their lead flow.Â
DropFunnels built a workflow called Pipelines… allowing you to manage your leads and communicate with them directly… using email and/or sms.

PIXEL-PERFECT EDITOR
Most funnel-building platforms have a basic editor for designing pages and funnels.Â
They get the job done… but they tend to look boring because they’re limited in what they can do.Â
DropFunnels uses a popular WordPress builder called Beaver Builder, and the only limitation is your imagination.
Seriously…
As mentioned in the beginning, we’ve used most of the platforms out there. So far… nothing comes close to the DropFunnels editor.
Many of the ‘out of the box’ features are things other editors can’t do… or would require custom coding to have.
The DropFunnels editor is truly a dream come true for designers. You can get as precise as you want to, down to the individual pixel.
Look at this collection below. It’s actually 5 images, spaced together… all done with the editor. No custom coding.
INDEPENDENT MOBILE, TABLET & DESKTOP DESIGN
DropFunnels’ editor can design independently for desktop, tablet, and mobile.Â
Since a majority of all viewing is on mobile, designing for a mobile experience is no longer a luxury.
With a simple command, you go from designing on desktop to tablet. One more click and you’re designing for mobile.
It’s super easy to switch back and forth.
The default editor is desktop. Whatever you build in desktop will be built in both tablet and mobile.
However… if you make changes specifically in tablet and mobile, the desktop doesn’t get affected.
Calendar
As of 2023, DropFunnels added Calendars as a core feature to their platform.
For a majority of users, this feature can replace the need for using a 3rd party service like Calendly or similar... saving you money every month.
At the time of this writing, Calendar is still in Beta and only works with Google Calendars.
LEAD QUIZZES
Quizzes can be very useful, but they work best for lead generation.
The DropFunnels Lead Quiz functionality allows you to create quizzes, surveys, and applications in order to pre-qualify your potential customers with an optional points-based redirect.
ADVANCED CART FUNCTIONALITY
Shopping cart functionality is taken for granted as it comes with the service… but it’s really an important feature.
For instance, Sam Cart is a 3rd-party shopping cart integration… and costs almost as much as the basic DropFunnels plan.Â
DropFunnels’ shopping cart is built-in for no extra cost… and it’s feature-rich.
You can customize it however you want… both in design and functionality (...to a point).
All you have to do is connect your payment processor to your account… and off you go.
Stripe and Paypal are the preferred connections, but you can use NMI or Authorize.net as well.
If you’re feeling real ‘techie’, you can even collect payment in crypto.
PRODUCTS
Creating products should be simple and straightforward… and with DropFunnels it is.
You create a master product… and you can attach it to any order form, any order bump, or any upsell or downsell… as long as it’s on a funnel.
Here’s what you can set when creating a product…
- Price
- One-time payment or recurring payments
- The # of payments and frequency for recurring payments
- Additional charges in the USA or outside, for things like shipping
- Coupon codes that are customizable
- Max order quantities
- Attaching products to courses… for instant access to the course
- Split payments
- Trial periods
- And so much more…
There are a few more features that would make creating products a grand slam… but it’s splitting hairs at this point.
DROPPLAYER
Newsflash… video is here to stay. (okay… not really a newsflash)
If you don’t mind your video being shared, put it on YouTube. If it’s a video you don’t want to be shared… like a paid course video or a sales video… you either put it on Vimeo or Wistia.
But you have to pay for those.Â
With DropFunnels, you can now host your videos as part of your plan and get rid of the paid services.
You don’t get unlimited space… up to 30GB to be exact if you're on the highest plan… but it’s a lot.
LINK TRACKER
DropFunnels includes a cool link tracker to help you gauge the effectiveness of particular links.
You can measure how many times the link has been clicked, including the most recent time and date.
You can create unlimited links.
DOMAIN AUTHORITY
This may not necessarily be a ‘feature’, but it’s a huge benefit.
Not to pick on ClickFunnels… but we do anyways in 2 more sections… one of the dirty little secrets they never tell you is your domain doesn’t get ranked in the search engines.
It’s looked at as a ‘redirect’ from their domain… clickfunnels.com.
That’s a problem.
With DropFunnels… since it’s WordPress based… you build real domain authority with your site.
You get the love for the work you put in… not DropFunnels or anyone else.
(side note: you get 3 domains on the Starter Plan and 10 domains on the Ultimate Plan… which you’ll see in more detail later)
What Is DropFunnels Missing?
No software is perfect, and DropFunnels is no exception.
BUILT-IN AFFILIATE TRACKER
This one isn’t a big negative, and rumors are a built-in solution is already in the works.
But for the time being, DropFunnels has partnered with one of the top-rated affiliate management software companies… Post Affiliate Pro. Just add 2 lines of code and you’re done.
DropFunnels also works very well with FirstPromoter.
But if the tracker was in-house, another monthly fee could be cut.
ECOM INTEGRATIONS
Many sales funnels sell physical products… like books. Having some sort of tax collection integration would be nice… but it’s not make or break.
The current best practice is to charge a price that covers all your tax and shipping considerations.
Speaking of shipping… a direct integration with ShipStation would be nice instead of using Zapier.
This is a minor inconvenience though.
How Does DropFunnels Stack Up Against ClickFunnels?
This part will be a little more biased, so take everything with a grain of salt.
First… Russell Brunson is amazing and he’s truly one of the best marketers in the world.
The ClickFunnels community is an absolute powerhouse… and most people who get into ‘I need a sales funnel for my business’, start with ClickFunnels.
But their software is horrible in so many ways. Their ClickFunnels ‘Classic 1.0’ is so bad, they had to completely build a new platform from scratch… called CF 2.0.
(at the time of this writing, 2.0 has been out for about a year… and it’s super buggy… and super underdeveloped. Not good)
We used CF 1.0 for a long time with our agency before switching to DropFunnels. Now we recommend ALL our clients use DropFunnels.
With CF 1.0, we had to use CF Pro Tools for basic functionality… like coupon codes. CF Pro Tools is a great add-on service… but it’s another monthly fee for features that should be native.
Designing on CF 1.0 was archaic. We actually had to ‘dumb down’ our designs to work within the parameters of what their builder could do. Apparently, CF 2.0 will be better… but we’ll see.
Here’s the bottom line… a lot of the things ClickFunnels 2.0 claims it will do… DropFunnels already does out of the box.
End of story…
What Is DropFunnels Pricing?
DropFunnels has 2 plans… the Starter Plan and the Ultimate Plan… at $99/mo and $299/mo respectively.
The main difference between the two plans is that you get 3 domains with the Starter Plan and 10 domains with the Ultimate plan.

Some DropFunnels FAQ’s
We currently have a "one-click" mechanism for importing pages from ClickFunnels, and you may import/export your WordPress pages using the regular tools.
AWeber, ActiveCampaign, Ontraport, MailChimp, InfusionSoft, Constant Contact, ConvertKit, Drip, Mailerlite, SendinBlue, and GetResponse all effortlessly interact with DropFunnels.
Although DropFunnels is not an e-commerce platform, many store owners use its funnel features to sell their products in order to raise average customer value. For those visitors who want to "shop," you can always link to your Shopify store from other pages of your website.
Drip functionality is in fact present! They will get access to those lesson modules at the time you specify, regardless of how much time has passed since the day they made their purchase.
Absolutely! Having complete control is what DropFunnels is all about.
Oh yeah. Our popup module can be controlled to fire on a variety of actions including exit intent.
Of course. If you'd like to use DropFunnels only for our funnels or memberships, you can certainly do that by using a subdomain.
