The more steps you require to get the freebie, the less your conversion rate will be… BUT… (and there’s always a but)… the quality of your leads will be higher.

If you want to cast the widest net possible… only require an email address. You’ll get the most leads… but a percentage will be fake emails.

Both are strategies… and there’s no right or wrong approach.

Advanced Tip: give away some of your best content for free to build trust. Play the long game. If your content is really good, people will want your stuff, and you’ll get better leads.
